DAAS LUXURY OPTICS and TAVAT Eyewear announced today that they have partnered for the exclusive distributorship of TAVAT eyewear across the United States.

Melanin Lenses in TAVAT Sunglasses

TAVAT Lens Technology (TLT) features Melanin lenses to improve visual performance and long-term eye protection. Melanin, a naturally occurring pigment found throughout the human body serves to protect against sunlight damage, by filtering Ultraviolet (UV) and High Energy Visible (HEV) light, better known as “Violet-Blue light”. According to research coming out of leading institute for eye research, over the last 40 years, blue rays seem to quicken the development of AMD more than other rays of solar spectrum, and recommends that sunglasses protect against both blue/violet and UV light.
